another life

i am a great target for online shopping sites.

my shopper journey is literally 15 minutes - even for big ticket items. 4 weeks ago i decided to buy phones for papa & mama. papa uses an incredibly tiny sony ericsson 5 year old phone that lags like mad and uses dial pad for typing. unbelievable that there is whatsapp too. my mum experiences the same predicament, with a slightly bigger screen.

i decided to mai tu liao and checked out 2 HTC M7s on lazada. i just searched for some reviews and determined that the phone was an okay model. item shipped from overseas within a week. hui xin is a happy camper - especially seeing their delighted faces.

3 days later - mum calls to complain about the insane battery life. takes 8hrs to charge full load, wifi signal goes down to zero in her room. dad too. i was so upset that the phones ended up giving them more trouble!

informed lazada, they did a pickup rather seamlessly, messaged me a few days later to let me know a full refund was on the way. hui xin a happy camper again.

i just bought another pair of HTC phones (Desire 526+) on lazada again, in lieu of the good buyer protection policy. let's hope they do not fail me.

in other words, it's just a month left to the big day! han yang and i on an overdrive, settling things in between work and on weekends. few days back, filmed our pre-wedding video after work, within 3 hours. that was a good big item to check off. wedding invites sent for printing, to our horror realising that we left out the dress code. printing out stickers for that, yikes. still left on our list:

- mail out invitations

- wedding favours (a ton of them)

- playlist

- firm up church wedding flow

- wedding speeches

- table plans

- his suits

- bridesmaids' dresses

- altering my gowns (gotta set a day for this)

- angbao box (got them to cut the wood for me alr!)

- 30% of wedding decor

- resizing my Etsy bought wedding band

- gifts for the parents

i think/ hope that is all.

home is where you are

i miss him!

we meet up on an average of twice a week due to our busy schedules. once on Sunday - our usual date day. we hang out for a few hours at a stretch, doing a variety of things that range from coffee (most often heh) to movies to reading books to nature trails. once on Monday nights, for Bahasa Melayu classes. and if we're lucky and schedules overlap in the week, we get a sliver of time on the bus home together. other than that, though we go to the same church, we rarely hang out then coz we're not in the same lifegroup. we are also in the worship team, but rarely get to serve together because our schedules just never coincide.

there are times life gets so busy it becomes a crazy whirlwind for the both of us that we don't get to drop each other text messages till the end of the day. but there are also times when i simply can't wait to drop everything just to see him, if even for a moment. 

i'd like to think that our relationship is somewhat like mutualism.

we are together, to help each other become better beings. :)

these 2.5 weeks have been the same old busyness on my end, but i get these random moments where i would see something that i know would incite a reaction from him, and i would miss him a little more.

tomorrow!

and in just 2 months' time, he will be the face i get to wake up to every morning. ^^
